BARI Semendo Robusta Coffee

 

Origin

​Our coffee beans come from Semendo which is situated in the district of the Muara Enim Regency. The fertile farmland lies 900 meters above sea level providing a decent livelihood to the Semendo who are farmers for generations. ​​​Semendo coffee is one of the most famous and recommended coffee from South Sumatra Indonesia. The fragrant and the strong taste of this Sumatera Coffee encapsulates all the luxury in coffee.

Dry Process

Most Robusta coffee from South Sumatera is dried process also known as unwashed coffee. The ripe coffee cherry is cleaned and placed in the sun to dry. The dried coffee pulp and parchment are  then removed by hulling process leaving the seed or beans. ​​​

Roasting Process

The coffee beans are skilfully handled by our experienced roasters who will roast them to medium roast at temperature between 240 - 275 degree Celsius.

Grinding Process

The roasted coffee beans go through grinding process either into coarse grind or fine grind. Upon customer’s request, we do supply non-grind roasted coffee beans. ​​​

Packing Process

The roasted beans (grind and non-grind) are packed and sealed to preserve their freshness. ​​​​​​​

Brewing Method

To enjoy a cup of BARI coffee, we recommend scooping 2 teaspoons (14gm) of BARI coffee powder into a cup. Pour about 50ml of hot water (95 degree Celsius) into the cup and stir. Allow 2-3 minutes for the coffee powder to settle. Savour the  rich aroma of coffee before drinking.

 

Storage Method

​Store the opened pack in an airtight container in a cool or dark place. You may also place it in the refrigerator for extra freshness.
